After years of working with and caring for horseflesh, the Thorncroft farm staff have become painfully aware of how many cases exist of horse owners struggling to find a new home for perfectly sound and useful animals. We all know of the increasing numbers of horses in need of care in the U.S., and of the fraction of this population consisting of fine "w-t-c jump an x rail" ponies and horses.

A recent reminder was an interoffice email: "Trying to help horses to find homes. I just got a call from a woman, they have 2 lovely critters. Young, healthy, etc., but they are Tenn. Walkers. Won't work for us but for someone else..."

We at Thorncroft would like to use this page as a means of publishing the cases of horses in need of adoption that come to our attention, in hope that this may help some good animals to find some good people.
